This is a series of images that were originally shot using colour transparency over quite a number of years.
I have converted them to black and white and greatly increased the contrast and the visible grain to emphasise this sense of ‘harshness’ which pervades much of the Australian wilderness, particularly the central and north-western regions I enjoy visiting and photographing so much.
